Oncology

 

Oncology is a field that deals with cancer. This field is also developing rapidly in veterinary medicine. Today we are able to accurately diagnose most tumors, propose treatment, or at least improve the quality of the rest of the animal's life. We approach each patient individually and try to find a solution suitable for both the patient and the owner.

 

At our workplace we perform:

 

  • Basic clinical examination

  • Ultrasound, X-ray examination, CT (used to diagnose tumors themselves and detect possible metastases)

  • Blood tests (e.g. blood cancers)

  • Fine-needle biopsy, excisional biopsy

  • Cytology (diagnosis of some skin tumors: e.g. mastocytoma)

  • Surgery

  • Chemotherapy (malignant lymphoma, mastocytoma, osteosarcoma)
