Dermatology

 

Dermatology is a field that deals with diseases of the skin and skin derivatives (ears, claws, nasal fungus, eyelids). At our workplace, we perform complete diagnostics and treatment of these diseases, trying to proceed according to the latest dermatological knowledge.

 

  • Clinical examination

  • Hair examination (to diagnose fungal, parasitic and other diseases)

  • Skin scraping (to detect parasitic diseases - scabies, demodex, etc.)

  • Cytological examination (yeast, autoimmune diseases, cancer)

  • Fine needle aspiration (tumor, inflammatory diseases)

  • Blood test (general diseases with skin manifestations, hormonal disorders)

  • Cultivation (bacteriological, mycological)

  • Samples for histopathological examination (autoimmune, tumor and other diseases)

  • Allergy diagnostics (we perform blood tests to test IgE antibodies)

 

Allergy diagnostics

 

At our workplace, we perform allergy diagnostics for patients with suspected allergies in cooperation with the Heska laboratory. From the blood sample taken, the laboratory will determine individual groups of allergens (grass pollen, tree pollen, house mites, fleas, etc.) and, if necessary, detailed typing. Based on the results, the laboratory will produce a vaccine for so-called desensitization.
